From now on, every first Thursday of the month is ladies night at SAB Parish! Women of all walks of life (high school and above) are invited. These warm and welcoming evenings are a wonderful opportunity to connect in faith and friendship with other women in the parish, to learn what it means to be feminine in the eyes of God, to participate in fruitful discussion, and to enrich your everyday life.
We're pleased to announce that the first Thursday SAB Women's Group will kick-off with a presentation by nationally renowned Catholic speaker and writer, Danielle Bean! Danielle is a parishioner here at St. Andre Bessette Parish, but her gift for sharing the faith and spreading God's love extends across the country. She is a mother of eight beautiful children, the Editor of Catholic digest, a popular blogger, and the author of multiple books, the latest being Momnipotent: The Not-So-Perfect Guide to Catholic Motherhood. As if that  weren't enough, she's also co-host of a Catholic talk show on CatholicTV called "The Gist"!

Parish Cenacle Group Visits Fr. Alan in Woodsville

If you're interested in starting a study group at your house, we have the Marian Consecration and many other prayerful studies to choose from available to check-out through our parish's on-line "at-home studies lending library." Browse the available studies here.
This past Friday was the Feast of the Assumption, and many of our parishioners have been gathering to prepare for a special consecration (or re-consecration) to the Blessed Mother. The Totus Tuus cenacle groups, who meets regularly at the Lambert's and at the Kingsley's, took a field trip to visit Fr. Alan in Woodsville to mark the occasion. Fr. Alan introduced our parish to the Marian consecration last year, and was instrumental in starting their at-home study/prayer group. We love you Fr. Alan! Totus Tuus!

Catholic Celebrity Cantors for Father Jeff

8/11/2014

Our very own Fr. Jeff Paveglio was asked to celebrate the Eucharist this weekend for hundreds of Catholics at Soulfest! "I had the pleasure of celebrating Holy Mass at Soul Fest last week. It was pretty cool to see the different ages there, a good mix of young and old," he said. This was his first time as a priest, of course, but Fr. Jeff is no stranger to Soulfest. "It awesome," he said. "The Catholic presence at Soulfest has really grown."

The invitation to celebrate mass is an honor unto itself but, to top it off, his cantor for two days was none other than Matt Maher, the popular Catholic singer and song writer.

"It was just him, not his band, which made it special. He's a really awesome musician," Fr. Jeff said. "His voice is special. Matt Maher has a voice for liturgy. It's not over the top, and it's really like he's praying when he sings."

When asked if there was anything else he particularly enjoyed about the experience, Fr. Jeff was quick to point out the powerful site of confession lines. "After both masses on Friday and Saturday, I (and three other priests) heard confessions for 2.5 hours straight each day. It was great to see so many people receiving the grace of such a healing Sacrament."

Matt Maher, by the way, is a tremendous artist with a gift for singing Praise and Worship. He has many, many albums and is featured on K-love regularly. You can learn more about his ministry and music at his website:

Right, is a Youtube video of his latest hit single, "Lord, I Need You." Check it out!
